Martin Retif, apprentice, Gold Medal at the regional selections of the 44th Olympiad of Trades

Martin, 20 ans, déjà titulaire de deux CAP (Menuiserie et Ebénisterie) et en cours de préparation du Brevet Technique des Métiers section  Ebénisterie au CIFAM de Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire, concourait les 14 et 15 octobre derniers pour les sélections régionales des Olympiades des métiers au parc des expositions d’Angers.

 

 

 

Six young people were competing this year in Angers for the regional selections in the cabinet-making category.

The programme includes the production of a contemporary piece imposed in only 14 hours before the eyes of the public and above all a jury composed of professionals, teachers and trainers.

Ability to analyze and develop a methodology, mastery of traditional techniques and tools, speed of execution and care at completion are all rating criteria that allowed Martin to win the gold medal.
